Route 66 Style Cafe painting, it isn’t complete.
I will try to post the finished product when it is done.
I have been working on a logo for my business. I have created a logo using the Iconic Route 66 Sign, and incorporated it with the artist palette.
I was lucky enough to meet the legendary Route 66 Artist, Bob Waldmire, several times before he passed away.
Bob would always stop at my Mom’s Campground, near Shamrock, Texas. He would leave some of his maps and post cards for my Mom to sell. I have a picture of Bob with my Mom. I had no idea when I met Bob, that I was meeting a man that will go down in Route 66 History. Bob lived and loved Route 66, and it shows in his detailed artwork.
Red, and Yellow, Black, and White, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the Caddies of the world.

To pay tribute to America’s love affair with automobile and illustrate way it symbolizes our contradictory desires for freedom on one hand; to be rooted in one place. With every red-blooded American in mind, here are cars in rich hemoglobin red.

When one of members of Artist group, ” Ant Farm” who created “Cadillac Ranch” passed away, cars were painted black.
I am so excited, I am in a new phase of my life, I get to be creative again. I love to draw, paint, and now I get to screen print. Thanks to my Awesome Husband, who found a six station screen printing machine, and a flash dryer, on Craig’s list, and my sweet sweet, friend that I have known since kindergarten. She basically, gave me everything else I need. I am going to screen print tee-shirts for her, for the rest of my life. She has the biggest heart. I am very blessed to have my awesome family and friends. Now to get to work Oh and the name of my new business, of course “Route 66 Artist and Design” hence the name of my blog.
